Creating Email Template

To create a new email template, you need to follow these steps:

1. Add Title, Subject, and Identity

Before you can save a template, you must provide the following information:

  • Title: A descriptive title for your email template.
  • Subject: The subject line of the email.
  • Identity: The sender's email address.

If there are no identities available in the dropdown, you need to configure one. To do this, navigate to Personal Settings > From Addresses to set up a sender email address.

2. Create the Template Content

Once you have filled in the title, subject, and identity, you can create the content of your email template using one of the following methods:

  • Rich Text Editor: A user-friendly, WYSIWYG editor that allows you to format your email without writing any code.
  • Code Editor: For users who prefer to write their own HTML, the code editor provides full control over the template's structure and styling.

3. Preview the Email Template

You can preview your email template at any time to see how it will look to the recipient. This allows you to make adjustments to the design and layout before saving.

4. Test Your Email Template

After you have saved your template, you can send a test email to yourself or others to ensure it displays correctly in different email clients. Please note that you can only test a template after it has been saved.

5. Add and Configure Attributes

The Attributes tab allows you to insert dynamic content into your email templates. You can add attributes and configure them to personalize your emails for each recipient.

For information on using Liquid syntax in your templates, refer to the Liquid Syntax User Guide.
